Dhanteras 2026: Why a Video Doorbell Is the Smartest Electronics Buy This Year

Dhanteras is the day families bring home something new for prosperity, from gold and silver to utensils and vehicles. This year, Dhanteras falls on Friday, 6 November 2026, two days before Diwali. If you are deciding what to buy, consider this: you spend a year earning and saving, so why not protect the home where it all lives?

That is why a video doorbell is one of the smartest electronics purchases this festive season. Below, we explain why, how to choose the right model, and how to find the best deals from Delitech Smart Home.

Why a Video Doorbell Makes Sense on Dhanteras

Dhanteras is about welcoming wealth and wellbeing into the home, and the main door is where everything enters. Festive weeks also bring more visitors, deliveries, and travel. A video doorbell helps you:

• See every visitor on your phone, whether you are at home, at work, or away for Diwali

• Talk to visitors through two-way audio without opening the door

• Get instant alerts when someone arrives

• Keep a daily visitor log of deliveries and guests

• Deter tampering with a built-in anti-theft alarm

Unlike gold, which you lock away, a video doorbell works for you every day.

Why Choose a Wireless Video Doorbell?

Delitech doorbells need no wiring or electrician. They are designed for Indian homes, so they suit apartments, builder floors, rented flats, and villas alike. The CloudEdge app gives you live view, alerts, and two-way talk, and essential features work without a subscription.

Delitech Video Doorbell Range: Which One to Buy?

Below are the different models of video doorbell with its highlights:

Features across the range include AI person detection, a daily visitor log, motion zones you can customize, and sharing with up to four phones. Alexa and Google Assistant work with the doorbells too, and you can connect multiple chimes.

Quick tip: Higher resolution means finer detail, but a 3MP model already gives excellent everyday clarity at a lower price. Choose 5MP if you have a wide entrance or want to zoom into recordings.

Video Doorphone: A Festive Gift for Parents

If someone at home prefers a screen over a phone, a video doorphone is a thoughtful alternative. The 2MP Video Doorphone and 3MP Video Doorphone let elders see and speak to visitors from an indoor display. Compare them in our video doorphone collection.

Complete Your Setup

• Wireless Indoor Chime: Rings through the house so you never miss a visitor, even with your phone on silent.

• Mounting Bracket: Helps on narrow or uneven door frames.

• 3MP Indoor Camera: Extends your protection inside the home.

• Bundles: Combined offers can save more than buying separately.
